When connecting thoughts across time and space, sometimes the simplest issues need a guide.
Not saying the below is complete, or accurate, or even close to what you might find in the texts, but it’s the best I can come up with. Even though these words were mine, and are still in my head; the thoughts behind them over the years of crafting this world are not always clear.
Just as we change, these characters have made different choices, showed different propensities, and acted out paths which were neither planned nor anticipated.

Origins 2014-2022
Somewhere between these four years, Justin Davis, under the *control* of the Stenton Institute Projects and Grants at Florida State University discovers how to make Gifts Change Matter on a scale never before discovered.
As part of a conference sequence for Gifted and Science, meets with Meredith Judge. They begin experimenting together at the edges of the science and sound. She is at the time, principal chair violin at Boston Pops / Symphony Orchestra.
Together, they discover “the purple goo”. As this compound is of extreme interest to Stenton (and his extended family of evil-doers), it becomes a huge issue.
For 2-3 years, but less than four, the two continue to work together, but also break ties with Stenton. They separate as much as they can, knowing that keeping distance is the only way to preserve their souls.
Then the Purple Bunny Rabbit comes knocking. Sex on the ceiling, Bidirectional binding is re-introduced to the human race. Rabbit gives a press conference and basically announces two truths to the world. First, Gifted are there, and Normal. No idea what happened since the last Ice Age, since they had regular contact before. They were distracted, so didn’t bother checking on their cousins.
Meredith is given a choice. The dress, the purple look. Binding against the window in Vegas. She chooses to take Justin as her mate, and accepts the mantle of Judge. Also, manages to get pregnant in the night they spend together.
I’m calling this 2022.

Three news items have hit the Gifted community. Aliens, the Judge, and then Bi-Directional-Binding!
Enter Matt Sanders and Sydney Webb. While the same age, Webb (not her real name) had a rather horrific experience being used by elements of the Stenton Institute in her past. Carving out a solitary existence while trying to keep under the “radar” as an extremely strong and talented Gifted, she stopped running when she first encountered Sanders and elected to “keep an eye on him” around Gainesville.
Through the lens Matt’s memories, we learn of their history of encounters, mostly with the weakly Gifted Matt Sanders blundering into things and crashing a bit in the waves of life.
Matt pulls together a lob-shot of a website. Sydney sees it for what it could be and immediately adds the site’s existence to the world stage as a 4th Gifted News Headline in as many weeks.
Using the site herself, Sydney requests to “connect” with Matt, now that the once-forbidden Gifted pairing blocker has been lifted from their world.

2022 The Next Day : Dark Side of the Line
In a different work, a senior Geology Major at the University of Florida awakes to find her college household has an unwanted guest. A Gifted guest. An Evil Gifted Guest who is actively assaulting her best friend and roommate.
While “Gifted” had been alluded to in the news, the scope of the community and their abilities were still both new and mostly unknown by mainstream society. Holly Deagan found herself facing one down who had the power to control minds and rip apart bodies.
However, Holly, through her balance of heart, mind, body and soul, had an ability of her own. She could nullify Gifts.

Part I: Judgements
Holly must come to grips with the rape of her friend, her hand in killing the man who did the act, and the whole world which the nights experience dumped her in. Bother her actions and her abilities become instantly recognized by players in the Gifted stage, and both sides move to use her to further their plans.
With a police officer, Elisiah B. Ryan, latching on for the ride as both a support and protector, Holly is brought before the Judge.
Justin and Meredith Judge reveal the sobering truth that our world has been poisoned, or attenuated somehow with potentially thousands of strange stone artifacts that interfere with natural abilities since the dawn of recorded time, Holly is given a choice to help heal the rift. The project, mission or quest really: track down and destroy these “demon eggs” made in ancient pots on Naba Playa, along the former path of the Nile River, prior to 1000 B. C. Those eggs had been distributed through thousands of years of conflict across the planet.

Part II: Actions
Mission set, stage set, and the Roman Cathloic Church briefed, Holly takes on the mission with Justin as her backstop to begin systematically collecting and then removing Eggs.
They find that the eggs were likely made in sets, and the sets connect across the distances. Justin discoverers the wavelength the eggs work on, and begins the process of understanding both the technology and Gifts associated with their making. Further, that the stone crafting is only one facet of the lost origin of knowledge.
While Holly is off in the Mediterranean with Justin, Ryan takes on his new role as the Judge’s head of security. They begin working with the U.S. Secret Service to tighten the protections around the Judge.
After spicy naval skirmish and an attempted assassination, Holly and Ryan are reunited to tie up loose ends in Gainesville and head north. We learn of both Ryan’s past and Holly’s future through a sea-adventure in the Aegean and a long road-trip up the united states.
